Dear Senior Cub Parents,
With the Covid-19 restrictions, we cannot run our Dad and Cub Camp this year. However, we are planning a cub activity day at Thriftwood Scout Campsite on Saturday 12th June instead. If restrictions for camping are lifted in time, we intend to run a limited camp for the older cubs only at Thriftwood over the same weekend.
This camp will be specifically for older cubs and includes the cub activity day on the Saturday with the rest of the cub pack. On the Sunday we try to include any outstanding challenge badge work the cubs need to do towards their Chief Scout Silver Award. In addition, the cubs help pitch camp, using the smaller scout section tents and help prepare and cook meals. This is all intended to prepare them for their participation in future scout section camps.
