Fri 16th (4:15pm) to Sun 18th May (7:00pm) offshore sailing weekend 25 Where: Yachts Thermopylae and Discovery Hi All
After 2024's very successful joint cruise with the 4th (Bancroft's sea scouts) we have again booked to take part in a weekend afloat on Thermopylae a 60" Clipper, and the Discovery a 47" yachtl, in or around the Solent, again taking 8 scouts from each troop.
These are professionally crewed boats, staffed by fully qualified (Scouting and RYA commercial Royal Yacht Association qualifications) skippers.
We will take two 36th leaders and two from the 4th.
We can offer only eight places split over the Thermopylae Clipper and Discovery with the other 8 places going to the 4th's scouts we will be mixing crews!
The cost in 2024 was £165 per head, however there will almost certainly be a further increase which so possibly around £190.00, but would include berth fee, food, use of suitable waterproofs, moorings and fuel, as well as transport on the scout minibus, the only additional cost would be personal spending money. We will confirm the price early 2025... |
